Twitter for Learning?
Huh. I think I’m having an instance of being amazed by the power of community/technology. I remember a week ago I was feeling rather stressed about the group assignment, as I always do when anything group-related comes up. I think it stems from high school and spending many all nighters being the only member in a group of 5 or so writing the entire assignment the night before because no one would get involved. So I decided this go around that I was going to get in early with a group/idea and cross my fingers and hope for the best. But I never expected to throw an idea out and have so many people be interested in it! So I’m also feeling rather humbled that people are interested in my idea (vague as it is) and interested in pursuing the project with me (and each other). So I’ve got a really good feeling about this one. I guess there really is a difference between adult learners and high school too. In a course like this the majority of people are here because they want to be and are learning because they want to be, not just to scrape through school. I’m really looking forward to this project, and seeing what ideas everyone has, and how it plays out. And the concept of doing an assignment on a wiki too. If it works as well as I think it will I’m going to suggest that any future group assignments I have to do be done this way and set one up myself if I have to!
