About
I’m a 20-something ex-research-scientist computer geek who’s decided to requalify in multimedia, since that’s where my interests have always seemed to gravitate. I’m currently undertaking a Master of Interactive Multimedia. Back in my science days, I used to teach 2nd year medical microbiology practical classes at the University of Sydney. I fell into this role quite unintentionally when a friend of mine (who had also been my teacher when I was a student) was desperately looking for people to fill positions a week before semester started and asked if I would be interested. I was interested, as practical classes had been the part of my degree I enjoyed the most. As it would happen, I loved teaching and interacting with the students. Truth be told I would have loved to continue in the role, but as the university was not offering permanent positions and I could not survive with no pay over the semester break and summer holiday, I decided to fall back on IT. When I found out about the e-learning subjects available, I was particularly interested in being able to blend my enjoyment of my brief teaching experience with my background and interests in IT. So here I am. Happy reading.
